A world of television entertainment

Amérimage-Spectra demonstrates its know-how in all fields - jazz, pop and rock, dance, circus and the performing arts, classical music and popular entertainment.

In total sync with the artists it showcases, Amérimage-Spectra is a master of the art of presenting the products of their imaginations while maintaining complete respect for their works. Recognizing this wonderful synergy, television broadcasters here and elsewhere make Amérimage-Spectra their trusted partner, counting upon our firm's creativity in the production of programs and variety series, as well as documentaries devoted to the performing arts, artists and culture.
Amérimage-Spectra, Bringing you great music and musicians

Apart from recording pop-music shows, classical-music concerts, and performances by jazz and world-music artists at the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Amérimage-Spectra produces major series and documentaries that look at the music scene and its creative forces and are made for both the national and foreign markets. Notable examples are the fabulous series New York Jazz Club and Shakin' all over, a documentary on the genesis of Canadian pop music.

Amérimage-Spectra has also carved out a choice market niche in Canada, the U.S. and worldwide, producing high-quality DVDs, notably Diana Krall - Live at the Montreal Jazz Festival and Creating The Lord of the Rings Symphony, which is included in the luxury case containing the film's third episode.
Amérimage-Spectra, Bringing you Planet Culture

The company also produces documentaries, magazines and series with an artistic and social tone relating to popular culture. From Women of music, a musical documentary series featuring some of the world's greatest female musicians in classical performances, to Eye on the guy: Alan B. Stone and the Age of Beefcake, a portrait of the enigmatic Alan B. Stone, the master of gay erotic photography, Amérimage-Spectra brings you Planet Culture.

Over the years, many prestigious dance and symphony orchestra companies have turned to Amérimage-Spectra for the recording of their performances and adaptations of major works. For example, thanks to his talent and our know-how, La La La Human Steps choreographer Édouard Lock offers a wondrous cinematographic version of Amelia, a complex and spectacular piece of choreography.

L'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal chose to associate Amérimage-Spectra to record L'enfant et les Sortilèges, a unique and grandiose event, and Symphonic Landscape with maestro Kent Nagano. Cirque Eloize entrusted us with the production of Nomade and Cirque Orchestra. And Cirque du Soleil partnered with the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal and Amérimage-Spectra for the creation and recording of the magnificent Midnight Sun, a celebration of the circus company's 20th anniversary and the 25th anniversary of the jazz fest. With each of these productions, Amérimage-Spectra demonstrated its ability to capture the very essence of the artistic endeavour.
